Salmon Farming: Pros and Cons
Hi students,
This is the blendspace page I showed you in class. The link to the article is here.
If you didn't finish the reading in class, finish tonight and add pros and cons.
Then, with a critical eye, watch some of the videos for and against. Pay attention to who is creating the video and their purpose.

Salmon Studies: Life Cycle
Rubric:
Salmon Life cycle rubric:
Understanding of life cycles of salmon, what purpose each
serves, and specific adaptations in each phase.
Creativity is encouraged.
Format is up to you.
3:
Student has all stages shown, can identify each and explain
key points.
Show through life cycle completion:
Life size phases colored accurately
Info shown with key ideas highlighted in each phase.
Can discuss phases.
May have some other info added from video.
4:
Info is added at each phase, using own words—this could be
from video, and may include additional outside research.
This info could also be in the form of answers from guiding
questions that go along with video.
Problems associated with salmon population are researched
and included.
OR:
You focus on one stage and build a model of that stage,
identifying adaptations, habitat, and challenges.
